on its way, but little different
from how you expected it
The Eight of Wands, “the fastest card in the deck,” they usually say, is also one of the few cards, other than the Three of Swords and the Aces, that does not have any people depicted.
Where am I going with this? I am sensing that someone is looking at a situation without looking at the person in front of them. Is it an earth elemental masculine? Is he offering something to you right now that doesn’t feel perfect, or like the entire package? I am getting heavily that this is a love reading. I am sensing someone is stuck in the choice of wanting to accept a proposal, a second chance in love, something that may disrupt what you’ve worked really hard for in your routine.
If love related, I sense a person thinking very heavily about this. It was an incoming message that you did not expect, a message that came in too strong for your liking. You’re a person of taste. You like things to be a slow burn. You’re a delicate, glittery candle with a burn length of 50 years if no one blows you out. You are lit, though. You are working hard for your routine, for your lifestyle, speaking your daily affirmations, and you probably have just nailed down the perfect skin care steps and sleep routine. And now someone wants to come in, in your eyes not living up to the full potential you believe you deserve. I would say, give it a tiny shot. Hear them out if you need to, then assess and decide. I will also say, don’t let anyone pressure you for an immediate answer. Anyone who is worth it is worth waiting for.
If in terms of career, you may have also established a great reputation at work, and you finally feel like you can outperform your own boss, and you probably do. I can sense that you are the one people go to when there’s an issue, or you’re amazing at problem solving. But something came in that may disrupt or, even better, amplify your current role. I don’t sense that it’s a bad thing necessarily, just something that you probably thought you might be too good for, or should I say, lateral? I would challenge this thought. Maybe this could be a new lens on how to view the business, from operations to sales, maybe from operations to client facing. Either way, it’ll make you multifaceted, well rounded. I am sensing that this either won’t change your pay, or it might even be a decrease. But if anything, it’s a blessing hidden in disguise. Not the shiny medal you were hoping for, for all of your hard work, but a choice, a comment that broke the camel’s back, a company restructure email that doesn’t sit right, or a meeting or email about a new position in a new state. It’s about to change you. Or it’ll, at the very least, make you feel like you can change.
In general, the Eight of Wands is not a negative card. It’s a card of movement, momentum, changing phases, like being in an elevator going up. You go to the next level mechanically, whether you’re emotionally ready or not. The same applies while going down. Sometimes things change. I do not get anything life altering at the moment, just a nudge to look at things differently than maybe you had anticipated when they come your way. Perhaps it’s a way to view a scenario differently and to try something new. At the end of it, it’ll be a story to tell nonetheless, and it’s the essence of “doing it for the plot.”
